" Im NOT taking new clients right now....Creating emotional intelligence involves many things: understanding mood changes and why certain circumstances create anxiety; communicating better in relationships and expressing feelings more positively; building skills as a parent or understanding what it means to go from couple to family. If we are in transition, in gender or in life purpose, we want to create a firmer sense of identity and direction. We want insight and the ability to create a future unbound to a traumatic past. We want to create new patterns of behavior and thinking that enhance our connection to others. ", I offer an eclectic blend of cognitive or dialectical behavior therapy, positivity, dreamwork, narrative therapy, internal parts analysis, mindfulness, and expressive arts such as music, visual media, poetry, writing, sandtray, drama therapy, and movement/stretching. I am a board-certified music therapist as well as a licensed mental health counselor. , I will help you work to create new ways of coping and to move through the world with self-awareness, a sense of connection, renewed purpose, and a capacity for joy so that you gently move beyond negative or traumatic experiences through growth, healing, and change by acknowledging the past, coping with the present, and writing your own hopeful future story.
