I provide a confidential, safe, comfortable environment for clients to deal with their problems. I see clients who have difficulties which have just arisen and clients who have issues dating back to their childhoods; sometimes people want help with both kinds of issues. No problem is too large or too small; if it interferes with living your life in a positive, fulfilling way, it is worth solving. My approach is active and I strive to establish a collaborative relationship. I treat many different disorders with a specialty in trauma treatment. PTSD is the most diagnosed condition related to trauma., , I believe that people\s response to trauma is often "normal." Therefore, if you have been traumatized, it is the traumatic incident that is abnormal, not you. Among other modalities, I most frequently use EMDR. It is the best evidenced based treatment for trauma and it also works amazingly well getting people "unstuck." , Therefore I do conjunctive therapy with other therapists to help when their clients are not making progress. I have a sub-specialty working with First Responders and Combat Veterans who have experienced critical incidents or trauma or who simply want to discuss their issues with someone who "gets it."
