About Us

I prioritize forming an attuned and collaborative rapport with the clients with whom I work, and strive to create and maintain an emotional climate of respect, acceptance, presence, warmth, humor and genuine empathy. My approach is interactive, flexible, and goal oriented. I utilize evidence-based methods and offer practices, perspectives and skills to help clients move toward their treatment goals. I have worked successfully with clients grappling with anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, substance misuse and other Compulsive behavior, life transitions, relational trauma, identity issues, and career change among other concerns. , The empirically supported approaches I draw from are predominantly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based interventions, and Motivational work. In addition, I was clinical director for 9 years of a nationally respected residential program treating substance use and cooccurring disorders. , Entering a course of psychotherapy is a brave and vulnerable process due both to having to acknowledge distress and/or problematic behavior, and due to the challenge of finding a therapist who can be a trustworthy, understanding and skillful ally.
