" Please note I only work with adults one-on-one....Counseling which is most effective examines problems from all sides - thoughts and feelings and behaviors, but also biological, spiritual, relational, and societal influences. Often people come to me feeling very stuck. But through non-judgmental, gentle exploration from this broad perspective, there are often small changes in one area which help a person start healing. I work within this holistic framework to guide clients in the changes they want to make, and draw from a wide range of proven therapies which fit a persons needs, goals, and values. ", My approach is formed by my training, experience in grassroots rape crisis work, commitment to equity in economics and health care, and desire to help people with persistent mental health issues live meaningful lives. Prior to private practice, I ran a counseling training program focused on trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapy. , Clients describe me as flexible and compassionate. I work with people to develop effective treatment plans and will take the time to make sure you understand treatment. When I have space for new clients, I offer free 20 minute consultations for those interested in services. Unfortunately I am not taking clients at this time.
