" Hi! Im Abolee, a therapist at Mountain View Therapy. I believe\xa0that we all make meaning of our lives through telling stories about who we are and how the world perceives us. Sometimes\xa0our stories paint pictures that connect\xa0us with happiness and excitement, but other times our stories are taken over by problems in our lives, such as fear, anxiety or depression. Oftentimes these problems gain power through the support of restrictive cultural discourses and societal norms. Through Narrative Therapy, I strive to help my clients deconstruct these discourses to reclaim their stories and empower them to lead the lives they envision. ", " I am passionate about using Narrative therapy to help people see new possibilities for stories in their lives that support empowerment and inspiration to improve their quality of life. While I enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals, Im especially interested in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals who have been adopted. ", " I grew up in the culturally rich Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts and earned my Master of Social Work from Springfield College in 2014. Since then, Ive had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, offering individual and family therapy as well as parenting coaching. "
