***At this time, Ms. Hixon is not accepting new patients*** Wendy Hixon is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida (MH16038), a National Certified Counselor, and a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. She has continuing education in Neurofeedback Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Trauma, Memory Reconsolidation, Emotional Pain Intervention, and Diaphragmatic breath work. The treatment areas which Ms. Hixon specializes are; trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, grief, abusive relationships, Women’s issues, and issues with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. , Ms. Hixon’s extensive studies in such areas as the Autonomic Nervous System, the Limbic System, and the Vagus Nerve, have all heavily influenced her approach to healing. Utilizing a brain-based approach in therapy prioritizes the mind-body connection. This approach allows for healing at deeper levels of the brain, often where pain and trauma can get stuck. , With mindful, multi-level communication used in clinical hypnotherapy, the effects of trauma can gently and painlessly be cleared, even if the event has been repressed or forgotten. By eliminating the ongoing influence of past events, blocked energy is released, healing occurs and change is automatic.
