As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work predominately with people who suffer from depression, anxiety, complicated bereavement, and other mental/behavioral health challenges such as low self esteem, relationship or social issues, self-harm, and outbursts of anger. Much of my experience as a therapist has been focused on helping individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder or who have experienced traumatic, confusing, or stressful life events, such as physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, death of a loved one, divorce, a medical trauma, or exposure to war/violence. , I specialize in Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a treatment approach which helps build attachment between children and their caretakers and reduce difficult child behaviors (i.e., defiance, negative attention seeking, temper tantrums, aggression, symptoms of ADHD). , Depending on the client, art, music, and play therapy techniques to enhance outcomes and make therapy a more enjoyable experience. I am dedicated to the helping profession and to those who want to improve their emotional and physical well-being.
