I am a compassionate and caring counselor who utilizes a variety of approaches to assist clients through difficult life transitions, parents struggling with addicted children, depression, complex grief and loss, anxiety, sex addiction, crisis and the impact of pornography and infidelity on partners of addicts. I began my career as an Oncology Nurse over 20 years ago. I received my MA from Argosy University - Sarasota in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have completed my training in sex addiction and I am an CSAT Associate Sex Addiction Therapist. I work with both addicts and partners affected by this behavior & consequences. , We all go through things in our lives that are painful or extremely difficult to handle. In spite of the fact that we are doing the best we can, sometimes we need some assistance with picking up the pieces. Making sense of these unique experiences is often very difficult to do on your own. , I work with individuals, couples and facilitate psycho educational, and DBT skills groups. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person centered therapy, EMDR trained as well as mindfulness practice.
