Telehealth visits are now available. I have been providing counseling to individuals, couples and families since 1998. I have worked with clients from age 5 to 81 in addressing problems with mood and behavior, as well as relationships, and vocational problems. I practice a person-centered approach to your concerns, identify your goals and create a plan to achieve those goals. We may also use strategies from other therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy. , Life is difficult for everyone at some time or other. Everyone has times when they have too much to handle and feel they cannot get on top of things; or have had a terrible loss. Ordinarily we take these things as they come, and after a while, in our own way, we manage. , Occasionally life presents a challenge beyond our ability to cope and we feel overwhelmed. We may become angry and hostile, or discouraged and withdrawn. Usually this type of problem can be dealt with successfully in brief therapy. Coming to terms with such problems leads to a release of new energy!
