Process Addictions include destructive behaviors that can include sex, gambling, food, cyber-technology, work, etc. Counseling and treatment will include a thorough evaluation of all aspects of one’s behaviors so that the foundation to one’s healing process is strong enough to endure the courage to discover “who you are” rather than “what you are”. , Although “Recovery” from some compulsive behaviors may be the goal during one’s healing process, it empties that one has a dis-ease for the rest of their life. My approach to healing focuses on “Discovery”, which is much more necessary to ensure that one will heal physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. , Our culture has enhanced our need to look outside of self to others to soothe our discomfort. Rarely do we seek answers to this discomfort from within our own being. We become co-dependent upon others for answers to our sadness or emotional pain. This can only cause us to never develop the ability to trust our own self for answers to our welbeing.
