About Us

I use a wide range of lived and professional experience to deliver counseling with empathy and assertive positive regard. I am soft spoken, easy to talk to, and use humor and understanding in my sessions to build rapport with my clients. I have managed an adult inpatient facility, counseled inmates in jails, operated a suicide and crisis hotline, and worked with outpatient private insurance/private pay counseling clients to find solutions to mental health problems. , My main focus is four areas: mood disorders, adolescent issues, anxiety, and PTSD. I also provide support counseling for family and loved ones of individuals living with severe mental health disorders like bipolar and schizophrenia. I welcome the opportunity to help clients work through major life changes as well. , My philosophy is that counseling should not go on forever. Progress should be made so the frequency of sessions naturally decreases to an as needed basis once goals are met. Of course, the option of returning at a later date to work on new issues or tune up older problems is always an option.
