About Us

My name is Dr. Alyssa Ramos-Chavez, Psy.D. I want to empower youth. I want young people to feel confident in who they are by communicating their needs to others. I want to help your teen strengthen their identity, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-love, and self-worth. The stage of life from adolescence to adulthood is full of challenges. Most are seeking independence, respect, and autonomy, but often feel “stuck” due to personal experiences, peers, family, and cultural pressures. This can cause them to feel overwhelming emotions and not feel "enough" in their lives. , Youth today often struggle with overcoming childhood trauma, navigating social pressure, creating healthy boundaries in relationships, coping with the stress and demands from school, and making decisions about their future. Life can be hard when you’re trying to meet everyone’s expectations, including your own. , I believe that together your teen and I can make tangible goals to explore how their past experiences are impacting their current functioning. I work from evidence-based interventions grounded in research to assist your teen in applying skills to their everyday life to cope with stressors. I specialize in stress, trauma, and co-occurring diagnoses.
