Hi! My name is Renee Evans and I am a licensed professional counselor. I provide counseling for children, teens, in-betweens and adults here at State of Mind Counseling Services, LLC. For the longest time I have had a penchant for anything relating to psychology and mental health. Having the opportunity to utilize my knowledge and eagerness for helping others has been an absolute dream. I live to help others truly understand their odds and ends, and use that information to gain a higher sense of self. Of course, having a few laughs along the way. , I have worked with populations struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, communication barriers, conduct disorders, anger management, as well as many more. I am also certified in TF-CBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy). , My counseling style can be described as empathetic, authentic, and pretty funny. Therapy does not have to be frumpy and boring, and I like to think I can bring the opposite to the table. Humor can be used to create a relaxing and calming atmosphere, which makes it easier to truly discuss some difficult topics.
