About Us

Leighann Simmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. She takes great pride in being a witness to the healing process for individuals - ages 12 and up. Leighann specializes in bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. She is a queer, married mother and woman of color with lived experience managing the complexity of multiple identities. This, in combination with her professional training, allows her to see a person as a unique individual with their own identities and needs to nurture. , Leighann completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Widener University of PA. She utilizes dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic/narrative approaches & philosophies, and solution-focused therapy to engage each person in the process of change, personal growth, and healing. , Life will challenge any of us when stressors occur that overwhelm our ability to deal and function effectively.
