Cheryl McCool

About Us

Dr. Cheryl McCool is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Capella University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Immaculata University. Dr. McCool completed her predoctoral internship with LifeStance Health where she focused on working with children, adolescents, and adults providing therapy and psychological testing. Dr. McCool has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a range of mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and personality disorders. , She has received training providing behavioral support and crisis interventions for individuals with acute and serious persistent mental illness in an inpatient setting. Moreover, Dr. McCool has experience implementing behavioral interventions to behaviorally challenged and emotionally disturbed children in the school and home settings. , She prefers to use a person-centered therapy approach to treatment while incorporating aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behavior therapy, tailored to meet the individual needs of the patient. Dr. McCool conducts psychological testing for adolescents and adults to assess a wide variety of referral questions.
