I am Certified in EMDR. EMDR is a trauma therapy which research has shown to be highly effective. The most important characteristics of a good therapist are intelligent listening, the ability to use multiple skills according to the needs of the client, and most importantly, compassion. I have worked with depression and anxiety (among other issues) for 31 years. It is very difficult to seek help at a time when one is most vulnerable and I am especially sensitive to this with my clients. , EMDR is rapidly becoming a very well known treatment for multiple issues. More and more data is showing not only how it works but the many issues it can treat from long term trauma to complex grief. , I have worked with adolescents and their issues for an extended period of time.
