" I enjoy helping people do their deeper therapeutic work. Ive been a social worker for over 30 years, and it continues to feel like a privilege to play the role I do in people’s lives. By day, I support adolescents managing acute crises in my role as a high school Triage Clinician. By night, I turn my attention to adults, who have moved beyond a period of acute crisis and reached a point of stabilization. Many people live their lives with the effects of trauma, and often feel stuck when they try to make powerful transitions or internalize positive changes. This is the area of support I am passionate about. ", I am a certified Reiki practitioner and also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy into much of what I do. We are fortunate that so many healing modalities are available to augment the more familiar evidence-based models in therapy, and my clients and I work together to find the right combination to meet their needs. , Working beyond trauma takes time, but it’s possible to heal your past, so you can live with more peace and happiness in the present.
