I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with experience providing mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings and through individual, couples, and group therapy. I also have experience working with adults involved with the Criminal Justice System, DCF, Probation and Parole. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques from psychodynamic with an eclectic approach to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. , I have experience working with a multitude of clinical needs such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, anger management, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, PTSD and traumatic stress (primarily victims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse). , I am motivated to help clients with self-exploration and teaching stress management and coping skills as well as incorporating mindfulness practice and relaxation training. I will provide a safe and therapeutic environment where individuals can feel supported in their efforts to make positive changes in their lives.
