About Us

Brigid Carney, PhD student (2nd yr), MS, LPCA, NCC, MBA, PMP, LSSMBB, is a "military brat" as the daughter and granddaughter of veterans. Brigid is a First Responder (FR) wife and daughter. Brigid sees First Responders and their families: firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatch officers & correctional officers. Brigid also sees military, former military, veterans, and their families. Brigid rounds out her practice with medical workers, including therapists. All First Responders and Military will receive a flat rate of $20 if Brigid doesn\t accept their insurance to ensure they receive the care they need. , Brigid has been trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is DBT-informed, EMDR-informed and has had some seminars on ACT. Brigid has "real life" experience with First Responders as a wife & daughter of FRs and undergoes many seminars to become more culturally competent in the First Responder world via the IAFF. , Cumulative stress or significant build-up of stress affects our well-being. Brigid focuses on hands-on coping skills and strategies that will allow the working professional and the First Responder to manage the adverse effects of stress and trauma. Carney involves her clients in skill-building so they can complete their therapy in a timely fashion.
