Everyone has the right and the ability to recover from addiction. As a substance use disorder specialist I understand a wide range of addictions, and all phases of recovery - from helping individuals evaluate whether it’s time to make a change, to strengthening recovery and preventing relapse. Most people who struggle with addictions have other difficulties that, unless addressed, can create stumbling blocks to enjoying a happy, clean and sober life. It is my goal to help clients to identify and manage the problems that keep them from achieving what they want in life. , While I am familiar with and strongly support the use of 12-step programs, some people benefit from additional or other roads to wellness. My focus is on using a variety of tools and discovering what works for each individual, rather than trying to fit everyone into one philosophy.
