As a parent, if our child is showing behavioral or emotional signs that he or she is struggling, we struggle too. I am here to help both you and your child. Play therapy is a powerful way to help your child grow and heal. Sometimes, you as a parent need the support to journey with your child through a healing process. My approach allows a child to experience significant shifts in their behaviors and in their feelings about themselves and the world around them. Going through this process together, parent, therapist and child work together and in doing so, you and I together grow in our understanding of your child. , " Play and expressive therapies help children develop empathy, identify and understand their feelings, and learn and practice skills to solve lifes problems. I work with children and teens who have experienced trauma, loss of a loved one, adoption, frequent deployments, as well as significant behavioral and/or emotional problems. ", I have dedicated years of study to understanding brain development and how it influences emotions and behaviors. I have worked over 20 yrs in both psychiatric, and private practice settings, also in school settings. As a military spouse of 26 years, I love partnering with military families. I am honored to take this journey along side you and your child.
