I focus on practical solutions for clients who are going through difficult times or help folks with skills to make changes they want to make in their lives. At Common Sense Counseling, counseling is provided with specific, measurable goals that make sense to you, within common sense time frames. The goal of counseling I provide is to help you make sense of yourself and make sense of your life and get back on track with what you want for yourself. , Counseling for help with: anxiety, depression •relationship counseling including marriage counseling/intimate relationships •helping folks work through times of loss •working with children ages 3-7 with behavioral problems, •problem solving for parents with teens •substance abuse •military trauma, assault trauma, recovery from terrible life events , I have been a supervisor of clinical teams in large community mental health agencies, and a trainer for new counselors and college interns. I am licensed as a mental health counselor (LPC) and addictions counselor (LAC) which means I can accept many health insurances, as well as cash.
