About Us

All change involves loss. All loss involves change. Even those changes we choose, can be challenging and maybe painful. Yet in nearly all situations, we have the power to choose how we respond. “Every choice we make takes us closer to or further from where we want to be.” Whether the choice has to do with some exciting possibility or tragedy and trauma from illness, death, assault or a failing relationship, it’s all about our choices. Helping people decide where they want to be, and evaluating whether their choices take them closer to or further from that destination, is what my practice is about. , I have learned the most important lessons in life from my wife and children--patience, acceptance, awareness, a sense of awe in the everyday, self-discipline, balance, the ability to focus, setting priorities, kindness, perseverance, respect, living with and through grief, and the value of humor. For 40+ years I have applied these lessons in my practice. , " Counseling, like life, sometimes involves changing our life situation and sometimes it involves accepting those situations we can not change. The good news is that we can improve our level of happiness, joy and contentment even if we can’t change our life situation. If you are ready to do the work, Im ready to help. "
