I work with adults and couples, specializing exclusively in Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Thought Disorders, Anxiety, Trauma, and PTSD. My education and training are thorough and diverse. My style is warm, kind, inquisitive, thoughtful, challenging, relational and engaging. The most important aspect in psychotherapy is the development of a strong therapeutic relationship that enables patients to explore the deeper issues causing symptoms: such as trauma, difficult relationships, losses, and grief. While at first glance, online therapy may seem less personal. However, I have found it as or more powerful than in-office work. , In practice for more than 25-years, I have post-masters training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and am completing my PhD in Clinical Social Work at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago. In addition to seeing individuals and couples, I provide clinical case consultation & coaching for new and seasoned therapists. , I have flexibility for appointment scheduling outside of usual office hours and discounted rates for mental health professionals & teachers who are under-insured or have insurmountable insurance copayments.
