My approach to therapy is primarily Cognitive Behavioral. Strong evidence supports the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for helping individuals with a wide range of problems, including Depression, Anxiety and ADHD. I also incorporate the use of other therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment, Relational, Interpersonal and Psychodynamic Therapy. My initial goal is to create a safe therapeutic environment. I work with clients to reach an agreement on the goals. As therapy proceeds, we will evaluate progress toward those goals and work together to make therapy as effective for you as possible. , My areas of specialty include Depression, Anxiety and ADHD. Other areas of focus are working with individuals diagnosed with PTSD to heal from traumatic events (including past physical and sexual abuse). I also work with individuals to problem solve and develop ways to cope with relationship and life transition stressors such as job or relationship loss. , " I respect the courage and trust it takes to pursue and participate in therapy. I strive to be respectful of my clients values and traditions and provide culturally sensitive treatment to all clients. I seek to work with clients to identify and build upon their strengths, develop and maintain healthy relationships and help them live more fulfilling lives. "
