About Us

Pursuing therapy is not easy! Mental health is becoming destigmatized, but there are many factors which influence our struggle to see therapy as an empowering choice versus a misperceived "sign of weakness." Your human is your strength which is pain, suffering, joy, accomplishment, struggle and so much more! Therapy is not about fixing you but about finding you, embracing you, and learning how to appreciate everything about you good, bad and ugly. Many of us have been raised under the impression our struggles are not normal and we should "control" our distress which is at the root of many of our issues. I believe getting better acquainted with our physical and mental selves allows us to find a flexible balance of acceptance which can address so many life obstacles such as life transitions, self-worth/esteem, and dysregulated mood. , I congratulate you on being fantastically normal! \u200bThe reality is normal is fluid and we are normal every second of every day, even when struggling. My approach challenges the rigid culture/society many of us exist in.
