About Us

Change is not easy; it is difficult; it takes courage. Although challenging, change is possible. In order to change, the individual must have the motivation & be given the opportunity to do so. I will work with you in a collaborative effort to improve your emotional state. My goal is to provide you with an appropriate, caring, & supportive environment where the steps towards change can become a possibility. Empathy is paramount to my practice. My theoretical orientations are primarily Cognitive-behavioral & Person-centered; although, I also use various eclectic & insight/awareness-oriented approaches. Goal is to increase positive/logical thinking that leads toward effective management of lifes problems. Most change occurs between sessions & through clients experimentation with new ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling. ", To incorporate change, I utilize unconditional positive regard along with cognitive and dialectical behavior strategies; these assist in the regulation of emotions, stress tolerance, & effective management of interpersonal conflicts. The strategies are effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction, & other emotional issues.
