Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and my therapy practice, New Path Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the State of Colorado, & my office is located in La Veta Colorado, which is also near the towns of Walsenburg, Gardner, Cuchara, Fort Garland, and Trinidad CO. It has been my professional and personal experience that it can be valuable to have a safe place and time to talk with another person about issues that are causing distress and imbalance in our lives, and it can be very important to speak freely about what we may have been holding onto alone. , " In therapy I use a systems approach, looking at the big picture, which takes into consideration the elements of a clients entire environment, and how each person is influenced by those elements in the past and present. We look at a variety of factors that are working together as powerful forces in shaping a persons basic beliefs and behaviors. ", " In my work I always see myself in a partnership with my clients. I believe that the client is the primary agent for change, with a counselor helping as a guide on the way through the process. Together we can create healing insights into past and current thinking and behavior patterns that may be causing roadblocks in a clients forward progress in life. "
