I draw from a range approaches depending upon your needs and preferences. Among them are cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal neurobiological ideas, family systems therapy, and attachment theory. It is common for clients to arrive with issues identified only to discover that there are other deeper and more fundamental issues which underlie them. I work at a pace compatible with your ability to integrate change. I am gentle and encouraging, but firm and forthright. I provide a free initial consultation so you can determine whether you feel comfortable with me. My aim is for you to feel welcome, safe and comfortably challenged. , My specialities include complex post traumatic stress disorder, childhood neglect/abuse, attachment issues, sex and love addictions, dissociative tendencies, and couples and family counselling. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, panic, grief, personality disorders, substance and process addictions, parenting/family issues, relationships, co-dependence, mood and personality disorders. , I bring 25+ years of experience. I believe that people have an inherent capacity to heal and grow, particularly when assisted by someone who is compassionate and non-judgemental with whom they can explore themselves safely and take the risks needed to change and grow. Appointments are a full hour and fees include GST.
