" My approach to clients is always strength-based, as I believe that every individual has unique strengths and resiliencies that can serve as a foundation for their personal growth. One of my key professional interests the cultivation of resilience (the ability to bounce back from adversity), and self-efficacy (ones own belief in their capacity to change and achieve goals). I believe that both of these internal resources can be cultivated in any individual through personal exploration and self-reflection. I assist clients in tapping into existing strengths. ", Kristen utilizes a number of brief therapies including mindfulness-based therapy (MBCT), EMDR Trauma Counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing to create individualized planning to meet your unique needs. She collaborates with psychiatrists to assist with medication monitoring and advocacy. , Restorative Counselling also offers a number of culturally enriched and trauma informed group therapy programs such as Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, Mindful Self-Compassion and DBT SKILLS Group. Evening and weekend sessions are available, as well as "walk-therapy" and outdoor sessions.
