Therapy can be a personal and supportive journey to help you realize your strengths, goals and dreams as you try to overcome many of these challenges. As a therapist who identifies as older, male “person of colour", and an ally of LGBTQ+ populations, I bring to counselling a unique perspective and also acknowledge that it is your story to tell and therefore must be honored. , Areas of expertise: EMDR trauma therapy: in working with clients who have experienced significant trauma and its related PTSD. I also work with clients grieving significant losses or changes such as life or role transitions. Additionally, using Non-Violent Communication skills in supporting couples or Motivational Interviewing for addictive behaviours. , Sometimes our struggle is a result of an unresolved wound which, if given the space, can heal and liberate us towards a “life that thrives”. Sometimes our struggle is only to be understood and validated so we do not feel alone. Sometimes our struggle to be accepted requires us to gain confidence and to have someone walk alongside on the journey.
