Hello there! My name is Husain! I am a strength-based, multicultural, Registered Clinical Counselor with years of experience in the mental health field. I work with Anxiety, Panic attacks, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex-PTSD or other stress-related disorders. I also work with with mood disorders, depression, grief, brain injuries, relationship issues and substance misuse. I have plenty of experience with complex health presentations like: suicidal thoughts and/or self-harm; brain injury (TBI) or other nervous system injury. I provide counselling to victims of assault. This may include ICBC or CVAP clients. , My counselling is deeply trauma informed and relational! My specialties are: Trauma focused-CBT; somatic/body processing like Polyvagal theory and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing with advanced training). Also, I use an Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) framework alongside Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness skills. , Together we will build a space that can safely explore healing, possibilities and goals in a safe and non-judgmental way.
