My approach to therapy is eclectic. It is always my hope that the conversations we have will bring clarity in a way that helps you make sense of the patterns and interactions in your life that are not serving you. I am drawn to a strength-based or solution focused approach for the way it encourages you to access your own capacity and skills to become “unstuck” in your current situation. I have resonated with what is called Family or Systemic therapy because of how it addresses the problems people present within the context of their relationships. , I feel strongly that change happens when you decide that certain things in your life are no longer serving you. My question to you is, “how do you know you want a better life?” or “what keeps hope alive for you?” , The most effective piece to the counselling relationship is the rapport between you and your counsellor. I, above all, look to connect with my clients in a way that creates a space that feels safe and non-judgemental. It is my belief that healing takes place within the context of a collaborative relationship.
