My goal in counseling is to use the experience I have accrued over the years, my directness, and my humor to help clients find their true self and exist in relationships the way they were created to. I believe that the root of all addiction is trauma. Instead of my clients asking, “What’s wrong with me?” I want them to ask themselves, “What happened to me?” From this vantage point, we can begin to walk the road of healing and break the bonds of shame. With significant experience in addiction/trauma treatment, I am able to provide my clients a deep understanding of their pain. , I am a trained Brainspotting and EMDR therapist, Associate Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT). Additionally, I am a student in the PhD of Clinical Sexology program through the International Institute of Clinical Sexology. , I value working with the entire family system, as well as working with individuals struggling with pornography addiction, unwanted sexual behavior, affair recovery, and enmeshed or codependent relationships. I particularly enjoy working with issues such as failure to launch, teens, attachment, grief, marital struggles, and substance abuse.
