About Us

A therapist’s job is to guide people in realizing their potential and to reconnect with their authentic self. My approach stresses self-acceptance through recognizing, examining and effectively expressing our thoughts, feelings, and needs, as well as exploring any unfinished business from our past. Thoughts may be a source of suffering for many, and I help people examine their internal dialogue and break unhealthy patterns. These patterns are often the result of defense structures built of necessity to survive exposure to traumas and other behaviors modeled for us since childhood. As a Licensed Psychological Examiner - Independent I also administer clinical evaluations including IQ/Achievement, ADHD, and psychological/personality assessments. Since beginning practice in 2001 I was employed as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor of psychology at The University of Central Arkansas for 12 years and have been in private practice in Little Rock since 2002. I also have completed 21 hours of master level of teaching and counseling the gifted and talented student. , I utilize an eclectic blend of multiple approaches such cognitive behavioral, DBT, positive psychology, and art therapy tailored to meet an individual’s needs. I also use a combination of Dr. John Gottman’s Approach and Dr. Sue Johnson’s EFT treatments for couples therapy. , It is very important to me that clients feel safe and accepted in my office. I am also happy to refer clients to other professionals who might be a better fit for them, or someone who might accept their insurance coverage.
