Looking for more than just talk therapy? My ideal client is looking for therapy that goes deeper than talk therapy. I have worked for 25 years with clients recovering from anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, abuse, and codependence. Experience has shown me that using a mind/body approach to therapy is the most effective for healing from these issues. My belief is that our being is grounded in the body and that ignoring the body will have limited lasting success in the treatment of psychological issues. , My training is as an Integrative Body Psychotherapy practitioner. As an IBP therapist I work with the body as well as the mind in therapy. I have also completed my advanced training in Somatic Experiencing. My belief is that it is only by going back to the body where the psychological injury happened is where real change can occur. , " From my own personal healing journey, it wasnt until I found a therapist that had some training in somatic psychotherapy (mind/body counselling) that I was able to start addressing the underlying early traumas that kept me repeating the same emotional patterns in my relationships.
