You’ve got some idea of what you need and are ready for someone to be along with you on this journey. We both know humans succeed in a team not so much when we are alone. I am a dual-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner: I diagnose, prescribe, and utilize therapy for mental health conditions and medical conditions. A diagnosis or symptoms helps us to figure out a plan together, but it is NOT who you are.( Yeah, I know you heard that before, but it’s true!). , High blood pressure does not define that person. Borderline personality, antisocial personality, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, substance use disorder, anxiety disorder, phobias, psychosis, self-harm, suicide attempts, and trauma does not define you either.
