About Us

I am Larry Newman, DNP, AGNPPC, PMHNP. I am dually board-certified as both a Psychiatric Mental Health and an Adult/Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. I provide services to adults and children. My areas of focus include mental health in adults, LGBTQIA+, immigrant community members, Native Americans and other marginalized communities. Trauma-informed care is foundational in my practice. I collaborate with clients in all decision making. I use motivational interviewing techniques, person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral technique. , We work together to develop a plan of care that is right for their current circumstances and future goals. I have worked with patients with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar I and II, PTSD, ADHD, acute grief, schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder, borderline personality disorder and those with a dual diagnosis of substance-use disorders. , Our first meeting will be time spent telling me your story. I will have a lot of questions and try to find one or two primary issues that we can begin working on immediately. It usually takes about an hour and hopefully by the end of our first meeting you will be feeling a sense of hope, and we will have an initial plan.
