" Hello, my name is Heather Parkerson,and Im board-certified as a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders. These include depression, anxiety, ADD, autism, school problems, impulsivity, and aggression. I also enjoy working with adults that have a variety of emotional difficulties. I believe that each person is much more than their diagnosis and with a combination of medication and therapy, we can work together to achieve a better quality of life. The most rewarding part of my job is helping individuals through difficult times in their lives. ", I have worked in both the hospital and outpatient setting and have hands-on experience working with individuals who are doing well, along with those who are struggling. I strive to ensure the best possible outcomes by using the most current evidence-based practices and treatments.
