After completing his MBBS, MD (medicine), and DM (Neurology) degrees from King George's Medical College in Lucknow, Dr. Mukul Verma worked as a Pool Officer in neurology, where he pursued his research and teaching interests. He then joined Regency Hospital in Kanpur as a Senior Consultant Neurologist and established a highly successful neurology department. In 1996, he moved to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in Delhi, where he currently works as a Senior Consultant Neurologist. and introduced botulinum toxin injection treatment for dystonia and initiated the deep brain stimulation (DBS) program for advanced Parkinson's disease at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. He is the principal investigator in several clinical trials related to Parkinson's disease, headache, and multiple sclerosis and has numerous publications to his name. Dr. Verma is a member of several academic societies, including the prestigious Indian Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Movement Disorders Society (International). He has attended numerous national and international conferences, serving as a guest speaker, panelist, chairperson, or judge on several occasions. Dr. Verma is also an adventurer at heart and enjoys outdoor activities such as river rafting and skydiving.
