Typically my clients arrive at therapy when the coping skills they have used their whole lives stop working as effectively. A sudden loss, rejection, adverse life experience, or sense of stuckness can reveal an underlying working model of self and the world that no longer works. Through our work together, I will help you access a new healthier model to guide your choices, along with improved coping skills, community resources, and social supports. As an EFT couples therapist, I bring a relational attachment model to all my work. , I focus on couples, trauma, and working through attachment challenges new and old. With couples, I use emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), which focuses on core early emotions and fears and how they influence the daily cycle. I am also trained in EMDR and CPT therapy and enjoy supporting clients with trauma work. , " Therapy can provide a much-needed opportunity for reflection and act as a catalyst for change.
