With over 16 years of counselling experience in mental health and addictions, with individuals, couples and group therapy, I have an outside the box approach to counselling that resonates with individuals. I am mi’kmaq and utilize culture into practice where appropriate with a holistic approach. Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (C.Hyp.), Art Psychotherapist and Naturopathic Doctor for holistic therapy. In person and online appointments available. , Working with the current modalities of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Art Therapy(student), MBCT (mindfulness based cognitive therapy), CBT, DBT, and holistic approach with an indigenous lens, where appropriate. Dual diagnosis (mental health and substance dependence disorder) as well as marriage and couples+ therapy. , Not everyone is the same, and not every counselling experience should be either, which is why I utilize different methods that sometimes means our session is outside. I believe individuals are doing the best they can with their lives, but need support sometimes to make changes where THEY identify it is needed.
