I have been in the field for almost two decades; however, I have been engrossed in various community outreach through my adulthood. While I am passionate about many things, I am most passionate about serving at-risk youth navigate their adolescent and young adulthood. I am a former foster parent, specializing in caring for teens, and child welfare worker with a unique perspective to offer at-risk youth. I believe in advocacy and ensuring individuals have the resources required to meet their needs. , During therapy, I pull from many psychodynamic theories to cultivate a treatment plan specific to individuals to meet them where they are at and align with them to reach their identified goals. I specialize in trauma informed, culturally competent care, with a focus on conflict resolution and solution focused modalities. , Additionally, I work at the collegiate level and have authored two books focused on mental health and wellness. I have been in supervisory roles and training roles to help build others. Coaching and educating is a passion of mine and always weaved into my sessions with clients.
