" Maturity, empathy and well developed listening skills are assets which I offer. Ive been especially interested in helping women during pregnancy, and the postpartum period and resolving grief and loss from miscarriages. In addition, addressing issues of depression, anxiety and posttraumatic stress in men or women is especially gratifying to me. I often begin by teaching techniques for stress reduction, or in the case of lethargic depression, ways to energize the body, which help people function better quickly. Most important to me is helping people find hidden strengths and restore inner balance. ", My therapeutic style is more active than passive. I use a variety of tools and theories comfortably, from cognitive, behavioral and family systems, to relational and psychodynamic interventions. I am proficient in teaching yoga breathing techniques and the use of EMDR, which can result in the rapid reduction of symptoms. , Healing takes place in the body, mind and spirit. While my primary method of working involves talk therapy, I also place a strong focus on helping people to reconnect to their bodies and spiritual self. I encourage other healing methods, acupuncture, yoga, homeopathy etc. in conjunction with my work.
