As life becomes more challenging and complex, people are readily impacted by stress, anxiety and depression. As a psychotherapist, allow me to help you with your mental health issues. My approach is client-centered, friendly, warm and empathetic. Our sessions will employ eclectic therapies which are evidenced-based such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps people to challenge negative persistent thoughts. Motivational Interviewing which aids in resolving conflict and in rising above life’s challenges is also utilized. Transactional Analysis which combines theories of personality and human interaction is used thereby optimizing the client’s natural given talents and potential. , Through educating clients in the field of psychoneuroimmunology which focuses on the impact that stress has on the immune and nervous systems, clients have developed needed coping skills to deal with anxiety and depression that can exacerbate medical conditions such as bowel disorders, diabetes, other immune disorders, and chronic pain. , In addition to my focus on eclectic therapies and psychoneuroimmunology, I have received certification and training in Spiritual Self Schema from Yale University School of Medicine and in Spirituality and Healing at Harvard University School of Continuing Medical Education.
