" I work with all couples - married and unmarried, premarital and divorcing, heterosexual and same sex. I work actively to explore areas of dissatisfaction, identify obstacles to change, and find ways to overcome them. I offer to meet with all couples for a brief evaluation, designed to determine whether treatment is indicated and to quickly identify key problems, strengths and promising directions for treatment. I strive for the shortest course of treatment that accomplishes clients goals. If a couple is in acute crisis, I make every effort to see them on an intensive basis initially until the immediate crisis is stabilized. ", Couples bring their problems into therapy but they also bring their strengths. I strive to help couples identify their strengths and resources and then utilize and promote those strengths to work towards their goals for treatment. , I treat adult individuals and sometimes conduct EMDR. I also provide treatment with a recently-developed modification of EMDR for behavioral addictions, including: sexual addictions; gambling; compulsive shopping, eating and internet use, including internet pornography; playing computer games; and repetitive re-engagement in unsatisfying or harmful relationships.
