" He is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts. Manny is bilingual and is fluent in Spanish. He received his Masters of Social Work from Springfield College in 2019 as well as a post Masters certification in Adolescent Trauma from Simmons University. Mannys experience as a therapist has allowed him to gain insight into different systems including schools, courts, outpatient and inpatient facilities. Manny has provided individual therapeutic services to children, adults and the elderly. Manny also has significant experience conducting psychiatric emergency mental health evaluations. ", My passion for the behavioral health field stems from personal and professional experience. As an immigrant, I grew up in an underserved community where there was a stigma associated with behavioral health. As a professional, I understand that across many different cultures, stigma can prevent underlying childhood trauma from being treated , Furthermore, the lack of culturally sensitive therapeutic services highly impacts marginalized communities, i.e.,uninsured, housing insecure, immigrants, etc. This inspired me to give back to my community in a meaningful way:bridging this gap and providing culturally sensitive therapeutic services to individuals by addressing barriers
