About Us

Hello, my name is Katya Castro. I am a psychotherapist and I like helping people to deal with their everyday difficulties and build happier and fuller lives. For quite a some time I have been working with children, adolescences/young adults and their families. I very much enjoy helping youth who feel lost, depressed and disconnected from their families or peers to find their own way to reconnect, heal and grow. I enjoy seeing my clients, overcome their anxiety and grow stronger, learn more effective life skills and successfully apply them in their everyday challenges. , My specialty is helping people to develop healthy self-esteem, strong coping skills and ability to self-regulate their emotions even in the most challenging situations.I work with clients suffering from anxiety, depressive moods and difficulties to deal with a rapid changes in their lives. I widely apply Holistic view on the therapy process. , My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic,I use elements of different theories that involve cognition, imagination and everyday living skills. In my work I employ mindfulness, journaling, mediation and other elements of DBT. I also use EDMR . I always approach my clients with unconditional, positive regard.
