I see people as separate from their problems. I work from a narrative perspective to help individuals, couples, and families identify their values and re-story their lives to align with their hopes and goals. Looking at past issues through a different lens allows us to rewrite our narratives to better reflect who we want to be. I see people as the experts in their own lives. My preference is to join you in your process, wherever that may be, rather than set my own agenda. I work with you to fight against dominant ideas telling you how you should be and help you to decide for yourself how you want to be. , I focus on your strengths. I hope to create a curious, respectful, and non-judgmental space to help you feel valued and supported. I believe that people have knowledge about ways to change their lives and hope to empower them to see themselves as strong and capable of making these changes. , My hope is to develop a respectful, trusting relationship that allows us to work together to identify the values you hold close and how you can work towards living more in line with those values. I bring warmth, compassion, care, and authenticity to the relationship and value hearing feedback from you about how I can adjust to best support your needs.
