Welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor who has worked in the field for about 10 years. I work primarily with adolescents, young adults and adults on a variety of issues; trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and relationship issues. I am trained in multiple evidenced based practices (EMDR, TFCBT, ACRA, and YCBT). In addition to my work in the mental health field, I am a registered yoga teacher and incorporate yoga and mindfulness into my clinical work at times. I enjoy working with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds, to create a nonjudgemental space for clients to present as their authentic selves. , I believe in using a strengths based and person centered approach allowing clients to lead sessions and set treatment goals. In sessions I use a combination of styles incorporating components of CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and DBT to help clients work towards healing and self-improvement. , My hope is that clients leave sessions feeling more grounded and in a calmer space than when they arrived. Clients can expect to gain an understanding and new perspective of their current concerns, as well as develop skills to move through presenting challenges.
